22nd Toronto Potters Biennial Exhibition

We are excited about the upcoming 22nd Biennial Exhibition that will commence in October 2023 at the Gardiner Museum. This is a wonderful opportunity to show your work in the Gardiner Museum Shop and beautiful lobby space. The title for this 22nd Biennial Juried Exhibition is Mind and Matter, and we encourage you to explore this theme in your functional and sculptural creative work. We hope you interpret this theme to express what matters to you as a maker, whether it is material expression, design considerations, concepts and questions, specific function, surface treatment, expressive form, etc.

There are awards to be won, including: Toronto Potters Award, Gardiner Museum Award, and prizes donated by our sponsors and supporters. Selected work will be published in a printed exhibition catalogue. We encourage everyone to apply. Spread the word to your friends and fellow potters for this exciting event!

The application deadline is Friday April 21st and participants’ work will be juried on May 6th. The jurors will be Julie Moon, Ceramic artist, Toronto and Laura Kukkee, Head of Ceramics , Sheridan College, Oakville. All wishing to participate must have up to date Toronto Potters membership.
