As predominantly a self-taught potter, my experiences with clay have been a journey of exploration and continual learning as I expand on my knowledge base. My passion is creating hand-thrown and built pottery vessels which are functional, versatile and decorative. I feel that everyday objects should be beautiful as well as functional. I prefer to use a smooth mid-fire stoneware for throwing as it’s strong and durable – something that I feel are important features for a hand-crafted product.
