Information
Alison Brannen is a ceramic artist living and working in Toronto. Trained as a printmaker Alison received her MFA from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque. Before turning her attention to clay, Alison exhibited prints and drawings throughout North America and has taught etching and photography at the University of Toronto Scarborough Campus and the University of Waterloo.
She currently teaches ceramics and sculpture at Rosedale Heights School of the Arts. Alison has given workshops on her low-fire salt fuming techniques at the Fusion Clay and Glass Association 2013 Conference, at the St. Lawrence College Brockville Campus, 2012 and 2010 and at Pleasant Pottery in Toronto. Alison’s work is on sale at the Ontario Crafts Council Guild Shop in Yorkville, the Fusion Fireworks 2011 travelling exhibition and at the Nielsen Park Creative Centre 2009. She is a member of the Two Willows Studio Group, Fusion Clay and Glass Association and the sales coordinator for the Toronto Potters Association.
