All Toronto Potters members are invited to apply for the following:
TORONTO POTTERS JURIED EXHIBITION OF VASES
Gardiner Museum Shop, October and November 2026
IMPORTANT DATES:
Monday June 21, 9 pm: Deadline for application form, fee, membership must be in good standing
Friday June 26, 6- 9 pm: Drop off pieces to Toronto Potters Studio
Saturday June 27: Jury selection and photo documentation process for chosen work
Saturday June 27 6 – 8 pm: Pick up pieces after jury / photography process
Details regarding exhibition drop off at the Gardiner, reception and other details will be communicated at a later date
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
All submissions must be received by 9 pm on Monday June 21. Follow application link to apply.
· Applicants must be Toronto Potters members in good standing, with dues paid for the application process through the exhibition dates until the end of November 2026
· Entry Fee: $40 (non-refundable) online application payment, includes up to 3 entries
· Individual vases are not to exceed dimensions of 22 inches wide and 35 inches tall. Groupings are accepted but each piece in a grouping cannot exceed width of 5 inches and height of 8 inches. Each piece has to be able to function as a vase and has to be completely stable. No use of real or fake branches or flowers will be permitted unless it is part of the object and made out of clay. The vases cannot be of the wall hanging type. Jurors will be directed to select balance of small and large pieces. About 30 pieces will be selected.
· All vases must be for sale. Sets must be labeled/priced as one.
· The artists will set the wholesale price, which is a 50 percent of the retail price (It is customary for the galleries to have 50 percent mark-up, which adds to a retail price).
· Vases must have been made within the past 2 years and not have been exhibited previously in a juried show
· Vases submitted to the exhibition must be actual pieces selected by the jurors. Replicas will not be accepted. Toronto Potters reserves the right to refuse any work differing from the original.
· Each participant needs to submit a short Biography (150 word maximum)

· If you do not have your measurements and pricing yet at the time of application when you have this information bring it with you to the jurying process.
JURY PROCESS:
Delivery of work for jury process: Friday June 26, 6:00 to 9:00 to Toronto Potters Studio, 180 Shaw Street - Studio 107, Toronto, ON. M6J 2W5. Find street parking or park in the curved driveway at the north side of the building for 10 minutes to drop off your work. The building can be entered from the north door on Argyle Street or the main door on Shaw Street. The loading ramp at the north door leads to the main door elevator. Take elevator to the first floor to Studio 107. You will unpack your submission(s) and take packing material home with you.
Pick-up of work after jury process Saturday June 27 between 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Toronto Potters Studio
• You will be notified of the jury decisions at this time
• The selection made by jurors is final
• You will pack your own submissions with your own packing materials. If you are not available for pick-up or drop off you must arrange with someone else to pick up your work, as it cannot be left at the studio.
• Professional photographs of selected work will be emailed to participants as well as used for promotion.
EXHIBITORS WARRANTY:
By signing the entry form the exhibitor warrants that:
· He/she/they is the sole maker of the work
· Each work is original and does not infringe on an existing copyright
· He/she/they is the exclusive owner of the rights and has full power and authority to grant the rights
· Acceptance into the exhibition grants permission to Toronto Potters and the Gardiner Museum Shop the right to use digital images for possible reproduction in all promotional material, critical reviews of the exhibition archival storage relating to the history of Toronto Potters and the gallery’s exhibitions, and for promoting future projects
EXHIBITION:
· All selected artists will be responsible for their own delivery to the Gardiner Museum Shop during opening hours and details will be communicated at a later date
· Artists will have to fill out the Consignment agreements and EFT information with Gardiner Museum Shop.
